Mining Units
Our mining operations are located in the Central Highlands of Peru.
This traditionally mining region offers specific advantages due to its geological potential, proximity to Lima, and easy access to major transportation routes.
We have four operational units:
Yauli, Chungar, Cerro de Pasco, and Alpamarca.
Four operating underground mines, two open pits, five active concentrator plants with a total processing capacity of 26,150 tpd, a 2,500 tpd leaching plant (Oxides), and one concentrator plant currently under care and maintenance (C&M).
Yauli
The Yauli Operational Unit is located in the Junín region, 40 kilometers from the city of La Oroya and 170 kilometers from Lima, accessible by road and railway.
Currently, three underground mines are in operation: San Cristóbal-Carahuacra, Andaychagua, and Ticlio. The extracted ore is processed at two concentrator plants, Victoria and Andaychagua, with a combined installed capacity of 8,650 tpd. The Mahr Túnel plant, with a capacity of 2,750 tpd, is currently under care and maintenance (C&M).

Chungar
The Chungar Operational Unit, located in the Pasco region, 219 kilometers east of Lima, consists of two underground mines — Animón and Islay — and the Animón concentrator plant.
Operations at the Islay mine were temporarily suspended as of July 20, 2023.

Cerro de Pasco
The Cerro de Pasco Operational Unit is located in the Pasco region, approximately 295 kilometers from Lima, with access via the Central Highway.
The Paragsha mine remains under temporary suspension. During this period, marginal ore stockpiles from previous years, in-situ ore from the Raúl Rojas open pit, as well as oxide and pyrite stockpiles, have been processed. The Vinchos mine is currently in the closure process.

Alpamarca
The Alpamarca Operational Unit is located in the district of Santa Bárbara de Carhuacayán, Yauli Province, Junín Region, 182 kilometers east of Lima.
Operations began in April 2014 and include the Río Pallanga underground mine (currently under temporary suspension), the Alpamarca open pit, the Alpamarca concentrator plant with an installed capacity of 2,500 tpd, and the Romina expansion project, which is currently under construction.
